All applications are by invitation only, and our annual granting shifts to reflect our current experiences, successes, failures and understanding of our communities’ most critical needs.
The Steele Foundation awards grants to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations throughout the state of Arizona, which are primarily engaged in the education, cultural development and protection of children.
Each year, our team identifies programs and initiatives that align with our strategic priorities. We then contact specific organizations to request a letter of inquiry, meeting or grant proposal.
Community leaders who are invited to apply for grants are given a unique deadline. Typically, the majority of applications are received by August 1 and grants are made in December for the following year.
The average grant awarded in 2014 was $55,150.
